While chatting, meeting new people, keeping in contact with family and friends is the most common reason why to join a web site in the Internet, some times is difficult to remember those which call the attention and forgot to add them to a browser feature called 'My Favorites' or 'Bookmarks'. An RSS document (which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel") includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship. It can be implemented by subscribing to it. Then an RSS reader, also known as a feed reader or aggregator is needed to read RSS feeds. RSS readers can be installed in a desktop computer, or used on a web site or mobile device. Since, reading news on the Internet is easier and more accessible than carrying a computer for the same purpose, here are some the functional ways to add your favorite blogs, news or frequently updated web sites online. Adding RSS feeds into your email provider. When subscribing to an rss publisher, there is an url address which normally links to an XML or RSS file. Copying this link and paste it in Yahoo, AOL or MSN for example, is very easy. Usually there is a button or link to add a site or add a rss link. When clicking to it, the url link can be paste it and that's it. Any time that you login into your account you will see your favorites embedded into your main site navigation. Actually, some sites may give you the chance to add your rss feeders without the need to sign in, but they will be removed when the browser is closed or at the end of your session. Now, there are sites like 'feedly.com ' that allow you to create pages, adding your favorites rss feeds in categories that you are able to create, edit or delete. It is like having your own web site with your favorite links for free, just need to have a Google account. Navigating through the Internet is not only for computer savvies. These RSS tools make it easier, mostly when looking for the latest news; don't worry they will come to you. |
